Barbering Series
Local Barbers Lead the SeriesThis barbering series is led by Amanda Jade of Keep Your Crown Right & Ruben Ramos of Studio B in DTSB and is meant to be a 6–8-week afterschool offering for high school students. Roll-out began at Arroyo Valley High School on 1/14/2025. The last week includes a finale/competition crowning the best barber of the series with barbering tools (clippers & trimmers), as well as a summer apprenticeship with Studio B to support continued growth in their craft.

BALL ABOVE ALL
|
One of STN's popular basketball assemblies focuses on the Triple Threat. It is meant to connect the "triple threat" position in basketball with the SEL concept of stop, think, and act. By effectively conveying this connection, we empower students in their daily lives, as well as on the basketball court.
Imagine a basketball player standing in the triple threat position: feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, ball held at chest level. In this stance, the player has three options: 1) pass, 2) shoot, or 3) dribble. Each option requires quick thinking, strategic decision-making, and decisive action. Similarly, in life, we often face choices that demand careful consideration before acting. It's about taking a moment to assess the situation, gather information, and consider the potential consequences of each choice. Want to see an example of us in action?
