​Attention Parents/Guardians: 

Tutoring & mentoring services are available after-school for grades TK-12. Our community center, The Pulse, is a heritage school, approved through the Dept of Education and is listed on the CCRC website.  You may also fill out the interest form below and we will contact you directly. We are approved to accept subsidized programs, please connect with your Case Manager and request the afterschool program at The Pulse in downtown San Bernardino.

1:1 TUTORING SESSIONS

• 1-Hour Sessions: Our in-person or virtual sessions last 1-hour & provide focused, effective learning.
• 1:1 Tutoring: Dedicated 1:1 tutoring ensures a personalized & impactful learning experience, whether in-person at The Pulse, in-person at the student's home, or virtually. 
• All Subjects:​ Our tutors are able to support students of all ages who need help in standard class subjects.  We also help track students for graduation & support dual enrollment courses.

PRICING

1. $50/Session (once a week): Weekly sessions are available at $50 per session with ENGAGE membership.
2. $40/Session (twice or more/week):  Need more support?  Increase the frequency & save $10/session with EDUCATE membership.
3. ​$40/Session (2 or more students): ​ Is support needed amongst siblings? We love shared learning & offer enrollment for multiple students from the same household with EMPOWER membership.

• 1-Hour Sessions: Mentoring sessions are limited to in-person to ensure personal connection. 
• Activities: Mentors will focus on activities that your student enjoys, meeting them where they are & connect in a meaningful way that ensures the breakthrough that is needed.
• ​Social Emotional Learning:​ Our mentors are fully trained on MTSS, PBIS, legal & ethical compliance, cultural sensitivity & diversity, as well as emotional regulation.

On-Campus Academic Team

Request your school to adopt the
​SBCUSD-approved program!

​The Academics Team aims to strengthen youth-focused education and engagement. These services target elementary, middle, and high school youth who are challenged academically and need support but experience barriers to accessing resources.

The Academics Team is contracted with schools through the district, to strengthen youth-focused education and engagement by supporting those who are challenged and need to catch up on schoolwork or provide guidance when life feels uncertain.

Our team enables students to develop new habits and skills through supportive strategies that increase well-being and academic choices/routines. We offer 1:1 tutoring and/or mentorship on school campuses at no cost to the student! Find us on campus before, during, and/or after school. We are also able to meet at student’s home/residence upon request.

Our team maintains strong communication with tutors, teachers, admin, students, and family. This helps to assess needs effectively and develop a strategy towards improvement. Our team canvasses students' homes when absenteeism is high, to check-in and offer resources or support. We also engage the youth through local events and activities where students are more than welcome to participate.

STN’s goal is to do whatever it takes to remove barriers by working with local schools, communities, and service organizations to help youth reach their highest potential.
